SHOES

SHOES

And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground . . . Exodus 3:5

Let's together consider this can we: Does this scripture imply that after the encounter at the burning bush, Moses went back bare-footed? Because if he wore back his SHOES why was he to put it off from holy ground in the first place?
What do these SHOES mean that Moses just had to let go of it at the point of encounter and calling? Could we assume that the SHOES were dirty and perhaps tattered as a result of all the walking about Moses had to do in shepherding his father-in-laws flock, that's why the instruction of its removal was exerted on Moses? I want to believe it had to be something much more than that because scriptures talk about the usefulness of SHOES as they depict the preparedness of a man on a mission (Eph. 6: 15) - a Godly mission to be exact.
Let's consider this acronym for the term “SHOES” as:
Seriously
Holding
Onto
Experience
Strands

At the point of ministerial calling and appointments, many to-be-ministers still hold onto the strands of remembrance of that which experience had done rather than to let go of this and listen to fresh instructions GOD has for you in HIS service.
I could hear Moses been told that "Moses I know how much you have used this SHOES to run away from the enemy and infact you have become an expert on the matter as you have managed to escape from the Egyptians after they sought to kill you after you did likewise to their kinsmen and I can equally understand that with these same SHOES you have successfully threaded lots of paths in this grounds in an attempt to find better pastures for this flock that you tend for, such that once you step on a ground with these same SHOES, you know full well that its grazing galore for your flock" . . . In short I know very well of your expertise with these SHOES but I really do need you to let go of them so that when I the LORD speak to you about leading my people out of Egypt, you would not be quick to reply me that . . . "Ahh Baba GOD, no need to worry, I know very well how to run away from the enemy ooh and infact I know pretty much how well to lead as I have done well with this flock" . . . but rather let go of these SHOES and let me tell you how you are to instruct Pharaoh to let my people go.
How many of us still come into the presence of GOD with mind-sets and reminisces of how we've done greatly in GOD's work that we forget we were even enabled initially (1Cor. 4:7, Matt. 21:22), such that we don't permit GOD to do in us the best He should do for the assignment He has before us and we are quick to jump out of the presence of GOD filled with our prior-gained experiences that we refuse to gain GOD's ability for the work.
Young minister, this call speaks out to you today, put off your SHOES, forget your achievements for now, remember I am the one in you, both to will and to do of MY good pleasure (Phil. 2:13) and heed MY strategy for this work and thereby receive grace that helps you to please ME in the work.
GOD BLESS YOU.
