RESTORATION

Permit me to share the story of a man who had it all, a beautiful wife, wonderful children, blossoming businesses, expanses of lands, numerous servants attending to his every beck and call, all that he ever needed, infact you could say he was very wealthy. He never for once had to ask anybody for assistance of any sort, instead he was able to lend unto nations. Men came from far and wide to gain a blessing or two from him from time to time.

As it usually is with every successful story, the kingdom of darkness wasn't pleased at his comfort and they immediately swung into action concerning this man's life and as it was in his case the enemy had a chance. A quite unfortunate incident then struck this man and he lost all, his children all died at once in a tragic accident, news of great disasters occurring at his various businesses were reported at very close intervals, he came down ill with a very strange disease, his beautiful supporting wife all of a sudden became a terror and unsupportive, in just a short span of time, the good he well enjoyed all of a sudden turned sour, very sour.

In all these painful experiences, many in his shoes would have immediately sought for help, many times help from wrong sources, occult powers or corrupt assistance but this man stood strong, remembering the word of the Lord in Prov. 18:10 (which states clearly "that the name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and are safe"), he not at any time conceding defeat but remained confident that all in good time He would receive a great recovery of all that he had lost and this surely was the case for this faithful man.

Inspite of the pressure he faced to turn aside from the way of the Lord and seek help from occultic powers, he remained steadfast and since the Lord is not in the business of failing anyone that stands sure (2Tim. 2:19, Psalm. 46:1), he came to his rescue and helped him to recover all that he lost, new children, businesses restored, trust in GOD the more enabled and renewed. This story surely isn't one strange as it happened to Job.

Restoration is the process of bringing an object back to its original state; the process of restoring something and it could also be referred to as the return of a former monarchy or monarch to power, usually after having been forced to step down.

From the latter part of the definition above, it is safe to presume that whenever a thing of importance is lost in the life of any individual, such person has refused the lordship of the Lord JESUS in his/her life and have as a consequence put in the uppermost position in their life the devil, hence to receive a recovery of good things back into one's life, there is the need for an acknowledgment of the supremacy of JESUS over that situation.

The woman with the issue of blood in Luke. 8 had a very serious disadvantage, she was ostracized from the general public, one with such conditions shouldn't be seen in public, the devil was having several filled days or better stated years in her life, he ruled her life to her detriment. This continued for a long time until she decided to give lordship over her joy to someone else who would always ensure she was smiling no matter what. This she did by touching the helm of His garment and her haemorrhage ceased. HALLELUYAH.

Restoration in JESUS isn't limited to any circumstance. The Lord JESUS entered into a city called Nain (Luke. 7:11-15), met a burial procession with the widowed-mother of the young man utterly depressed. He touched the coffin been carried for burial and ordered that the young man rise up back to life, seeing that it was the "true giver of life" speaking here, this young man had no choice but to rise up back to life. He was then restored whole to his mother. They sent a message to JESUS in John. 11 that His friend Lazarus was sick, by the time He would get there, Lazarus was already dead four days now, He on arriving there commanded that Lazarus came forth from the grave and he was restored alive back to His family.


Now it is important for me to say this at this point that once the devil is in charge, man suffers, forget whatever seems like a form of enjoyment during his reign, the torture he renders is of far greater magnitude than whatever joys could be received when he is in charge. But the Lord JESUS gives life and life abundantly (John. 10:10). Receive back today better options of that good you need which you have lost in the day of sin and or ignorance.

Our GOD is a GOD of restoration, seek Him today, refuse to be robbed anymore and recover all today.
