NEW LIFE

JUST A QUICK THOUGHT

JOHN. 10: 7-16

Quickly contrasting the words NEW, before anything is called as such, there must have been an OLD and equally in the absence of LIFE is DEATH.

In the magnificent plan of GOD for mankind, He fashioned out an escape route for us to come back to life after we all died, being in Adam at the garden of Eden.

Gen. 2:16-17 shows the instruction of the Lord to Adam and equally the consequences of disobedience which was death - a separation from the GOD-life. Being born dead here isn't of the form or example of still births or deaths during child delivery but knowing that life only exists in having a connect with GOD, so as we were disconnected from GOD through the sin of Adam, we lost life and became dead.

Herein lies the origin of our fallen nature. Adam being our progenitor, we all been born in his form, hence we were all born into the life of sin. (Rom. 5:14, 1Cor. 15:22).

Ezekiel  18:4 "Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die."
18:20 "The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."

In the above scriptures, the Prophet Ezekiel declares clearly under GOD that the soul which sins shall die, so therefore being born into this nature equates to us being born dead.

The love of our Lord towards us still remains incomparable because even in all these, He still planned to redeem us back to Himself (1Cor. 15:45, Eph. 2:1, Col. 2:13, 2Cor. 5:19) by ultimately sending to die as remission for our sins, His only begotten son, JESUS CHRIST that by our believing in Him, we would gain reconciliation back into the place of fellowship with the FATHER hence the NEW LIFE.

My quick question to you then would be have you made the switch from the old death to the New Life?
